I'm never quite sure what to do. I'm not a mommy in my own right, but I do have a 14 year old stepson.
My question is... Should I keep out of the mommy board because I'm technically not a mommy? I know a lot of mommys who get quite upset when someone like me answers a post without any real mommy experience.
I just want to clear this up now so I'll know whether to come in here or not.
Thanks!

I have been wanting to ask the same question. I posted once on a mommy board at another PCOS site and someone PM me to tell me I wasn't a real mommy so I shouldn't post. Most sites I have tried out have been very friendly about step moms.

Nope, you do not have to stay out of the mommy forum. You are technically a parent but besides that everyone can offer advice and support.

I can not believe you were treated so badly!! IMO, you are a perfectly qualified mommy, whether you gave birth or not. Do they kick adoptive moms out of the forums, too? geez!! to them! You are more than welcome here!!
