Welcome to the PCOSA Information network.
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Olympic gold medalist Stacey Nuveman, catcher on the U.S. A. Women's 2004 softball team to our line up of speakers at the PCOSA 2004 Conference!
In the past four years, Nuveman has become one of the most respected athletes in sport of softball. A 2000 and 2004 gold medal Olympian, this No. 33 catcher began her days guarding the plate as a child when her father, Tom, coached a little league baseball team and she wanted to play
so her parents signed her up for softball. Her hard work paid off in a scholarship to UCLA where she dominated the collegiate scene. Still today inspired by room for improvement, the 6'0" home run hitter continues her softball profession during off months through a series of clinics and camps and recently was a color commentator for College Sports Television as well as
the 2003 Women's College World Series on ESPN. This former Bruin and 2002 sociology graduate says, "The balance in my life is paramount. I enjoy softball more and perform better when I feel that sense of balance; knowing it is a huge part of my life, but not everything."
And, if you haven't signed up for the PCOSA 2004 Conference in New York from October 7-10, you could be missing out on seeing Stacey and some of the leading PCOS and women's health professionals in the world!
