Here I am!! I am working on my apartment today. My harsh week is finally over. I had a test in every single class, 2 papers, and 2 essays (or was it 3??), not to mention all the other regular work...all within a week of each other. From last Wed until yesterday. It was harsh.
My apartment is falling apart....dishes, laundry, etc all piled up. Today is my catch up day. DH did laundry yesteray. Today I'm catching up dishes (which I realize is disgusting...but I barely had time to eat, much less clean), sweeping, mopping, scrubbing the bathroom, etc.
(Can't you tell?? Here I am on the computer. LOL)
Anyway, that is why I've been scarce. Sorry about that.

I'm here! Things have been pretty crazy lately. I'm busy at work. (This is pretty long, so run for the hills!) I've been having this refridgerator fiasco that I've been dealing with. When we moved into the house we rent, the landlord had a fridge in the kitchen. We brought one with us and put it in the basement. Well, the fridge part of the fridge in the kitchen died and I lost $75 worth of food. Then the freezer in the fridge downstairs went. So my everyday fridge stuff is downstairs which means I need to go up and down the steps a million times. Then the freezer in the fridge upstairs started over-freezing and everything in there is freezer-burned. At any rate, I've been trying to talk DH into getting a new fridge. Granted, we can't really afford it, but I was going to borrow the money from my folks. So, my mom gets her bonus check (which she didn't tell me). She asks me to come over because she wants to show me something and won't tell me what (I know it's like she's 3 years old or something.) So last Saturday I go over and she says we have to go to Lowe's. Okay, so we go to Lowe's. Then she tells me to pick out a fridge because she got her bonus check and she's going to buy me one. (Digress here for background: once my mom decides she's going to do something there's no turning back. If you tell her no, she gets all upset and pissed off and cries.) So I tell her, no, we are not getting a refridgerator. She gets upset and pissed off and cries. She asks me to call DH because "she knows we don't make decisions without talking to the other person first." Which is true. (And she says this like it's a bad thing.) So I call DH and we get into a fight because no matter what I say, my mom is hell bent on getting this refridgerator. We end up leaving Lowe's with a fridge on hold. I then have to drive all the back to my house (40 mins away) to see if the damn thing will fit. Well, it will fit. But since I'm home, mom decides she wants to go to a place closer to my house which is a discount appliance place. So we trek there and find a fridge. I again call DH (who realizes at this point that there's no getting out of getting a damn refridgerator no matter what we say) and he says "okay get the stupid thing." Well, then the landlord calls on Monday and says he has a fridge and they'll be delivering it on Thursday. Meanwhile, mom has plumbing issues and should have used the money for the fridge for the plumber like I told her. So yesterday, I call and cancel the new fridge and find out how to get the refund. I get home last night and the fridge from the landlord is on my porch. Oh my goodness, the thing is nasty. I seriously would not have wanted to put food in it. I call DH and tell him this. He calls the landlord who asks if there's a way I can call the discount appliance place and uncancel the new fridge. So I call and get the new fridge uncancelled and they're supposed to deliver it tomorrow. DH is going to take money we've been saving for projected court costs when the ex takes him to court for child support (don't even get me started) and pay my mom so she can pay the plumber. Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh! I can't take it anymore. Bless you if you got this far into the fiasco that is my life.

OH my goodness Christina! Although, I have to confess, I did giggle a little. Your mom sounds EXACTLY like my MIL!!! Glad you got it all worked out!

Christina, I can totaly relate. My parents are the same way. They want to pay for everything for me and my sister. Thier reasoning is they have more money then us and we need to use our's for more important things.
