Speaking of school, maybe being laid off is the best thing that has happened to me! Not only did it give me more time with Dillon, but I went to Michigan Works yesterday for orientation (required to claim unemployment) and found that they offer various training programs and will pay for school up to an associates! I was looking in to the fire science program. You all can come investigate arsons with me I want to come investigate!! DH and I had a serious discussion about me going back to school and he reminded me why I stopped going to begin with. Not enough funds. Now I'm bummed.

I'm having the same problem Christina, I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for school. I supposedly make too much money for a pell grant. Yeah right! If they would take into consideration that I have a house and car payment I might get somewhere. There are loans but I'm a little leary about borrowing alot of money for school it would just put me deeper into debt! What to do!

Thats what stinks about grants and such, they only look at how much you make, not how much you put out. Unfortunately as much as I'd like to, I'm not sure if I'd be able to take advantage of this schooling or training. Dillons surgery is next month and in December I'll have to go back to work somewhere. Ill have to work at night and Doug will work during the day as we can't afford child care. No childcare = no school

I scoured the internet to try and find some scholarships or grants, but I make too much money, am the wrong age (non-traditional student), the wrong ethnicity and the wrong (fill in senseless criteria here). So much for giving money to people who can pay it back.

No childcare = no school I know you have so much going on right now. You all are in my prayers for a great outcome for Dillon's surgery. I wish I lived closer, I'd babysit.
